About Me

I'm a Minneapolis-based cinematographer, editor, and director with over 15 years of professional filmmaking experience. As a kid, I found myself often moving cross-country, which afforded me the unique opportunity to learn how a good story has universal elements no matter where you're from. My film school training, diverse professional background in photo and video, and over five years in equity-driven documentary work have all played a crucial role in refining my style—making it engaging, dynamic, and people-first. As a dad of two, I'm constantly inspired by my kids who remind me of the importance of wonder and the responsibility of leaving a positive legacy for the next generation.
